Twas the night before Christmas, in the office (quite late)
\nAll the other employees had left by seven (or eight)
\nOnly one soul was left, with her head in a binder:
\nMary, an online instructional course designer.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Her screen bathed her face in a pale blue glow
\nWhile out in the street it was starting to snow
\nAnd her eyes had a sorrow none ever had seen
\nAs they stared sad and bleakly at her workstation screen.<\/p>\n

While the rest of her friends were at some Christmas party
\nOr at home with their family and pets, being hearty
\nMary had been charged with a grave, daunting task
\nOf training the employees of the company, fast!<\/p>\n

Her boss was insistent, her deadline was near:
\n\u201cIt\u2019s of absolute, vital importance, my dear!
\nWe must find a solution, with no more hesitation,
\nTo train up and certify our reps \u2019cross the nation.<\/p>\n

It has to be easy, customizable, and it has to be fast
\nContent-friendly<\/strong><\/a>, reliable, and allow multiple learning paths<\/strong><\/a>
\nAllow all types of questions, and surveys \u2013 such tricks
\nYou must find it, Mary, you must find it and quick!\u201d<\/p>\n

All of a sudden there arose such a clatter
\nAll alone in the office, what could be the matter?
\nRight there in the hallway, why, who did appear?
\nBut jolly St. Nick, and eight tiny reindeer!<\/p>\n

\u201cGood Mary,\u201d he said, \u201cThere\u2019s no reason to worry
\nI\u2019ve a thought for just how to make everything jolly.
\nThere\u2019s a solution to your problem \u2013 try it out; it\u2019s the best

He gave her a smile like you never did see,

Such joy! Such wonder! And rapture, and laughter!
\nMary skipped from the office – she had avoided disaster.
\nShe craned her neck up and she looked to the skies
\nAnd with amazement and wonder she did rub her eyes:<\/p>\n

Because emblazoned above the city, the people, and cars,
\nWritten in gold letters among the planets and stars,
\nWere those heart-warming words – such a wondrous sight:
\n\u201cMerry Christmas to all! And to all a good night!\u201d<\/p>\n
