{"id":967,"date":"2013-06-05T12:07:12","date_gmt":"2013-06-05T12:07:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.talentlms.com\/?p=967"},"modified":"2025-01-23T10:03:45","modified_gmt":"2025-01-23T08:03:45","slug":"how-to-use-bigbluebutton-in-talentlms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.talentlms.com\/blog\/how-to-use-bigbluebutton-in-talentlms\/","title":{"rendered":"How to use BigBlueButton through TalentLMS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TalentLMS is now integrated with BigBlueButton allowing you to schedule web conferences and invite users.<\/p>\n<p>Below you will find a step-by-step guide on how to use it.<\/p>\n<h4>Step 1<\/h4>\n<p>Enter your portal as an instructor.<\/p>\n<p>In your right menu you will find the \u2018Conferences\u2019 option.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Click to add a new conference.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.talentlms.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/BBB_IMAGE1.png\" alt=\"BigBlueButton_IMAGE1\" width=\"576\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Step 2<\/h4>\n<p>Type the name of your conference and set the date and starting time.<\/p>\n<p>You can type a welcome message if you wish.<\/p>\n<p>Finally you can set the duration using the duration bar which shows time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-969\" src=\"https:\/\/www.talentlms.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/BBB_IMAGE2.png\" alt=\"BigBlueButton_IMAGE2\" width=\"576\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Step 3<\/h4>\n<p>After adding the new conference you will be transferred to the \u2018Users\u2019 tab.<\/p>\n<p>In this tab you can see all the users that attend your courses and you can add them to the conference by selecting the user. You are able to filter the users per course.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-970\" src=\"https:\/\/www.talentlms.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/BBB_IMAGE3.png\" alt=\"BigBlueButton_IMAGE3\" width=\"576\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>After selecting users you can then send them an invitation by clicking on the \u2018Notify Users\u2019 button.<\/p>\n<p>Type the message that they will receive and remember to include the conference URL and hit send.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-971\" src=\"https:\/\/www.talentlms.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/BBB_IMAGE4png.png\" alt=\"BigBlueButton_IMAGE4png\" width=\"576\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The user will receive the following email with the conference information:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-972\" src=\"https:\/\/www.talentlms.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/BBB_IMAGE5.png\" alt=\"Bigbluebutton_IMAGE5\" width=\"576\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Using this URL the user is able to access the conference directly.<\/p>\n<p>This invitation is also sent as a message in TalentLMS.<\/p>\n<h4>Step 4<\/h4>\n<p>When the conference start time is close the instructor may begin by clicking on the \u2018Open Conference\u2019 button which can be found in the \u2018Join\u2019 column.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-973\" src=\"https:\/\/www.talentlms.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/BBB_IMAGE6.png\" alt=\"Bigbluebutton_image6\" width=\"576\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Note that nobody is able to enter the conference until the moderator (instructor) starts it.<\/p>\n<p>Through the homepage right menu users may click on the \u2018Conferences\u2019 option to see all the conferences they are invited to join \u2013 there they simply click on the \u2018Join\u2019 button.
