At TalentLMS, we are committed to building an inclusive platform accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. Our goal is to meet and exceed internationally recognized accessibility standards to provide a seamless learning experience for everyone.
WCAG 2.2 Compliance
TalentLMS is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard. This level of compliance ensures that most functionality of our platform is operable by users with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
This assessment was conducted by theUXProdigy, a digital accessibility agency, and included:
2 rounds of expert accessibility audits
2 rounds of remediation
Usability testing with visually impaired users
A final audit to validate conformance
Summary of Resolved Issues
As of June 2025, we have addressed 83 total accessibility issues, including:
55 critical (e.g. keyboard traps, missing labels, invalid focus order)
14 serious
8 moderate
6 minor (UX refinements)
Note: This certification does not include course units. Accessibility auditing of course content is planned for future iterations.
Platform Accessibility Highlights
TalentLMS supports accessible learning through a combination of inclusive design practices and accessible features:
Keyboard Navigation: Full operability via keyboard for all core functionality
Screen Reader Support: Compatibility with major screen readers (e.g., NVDA, VoiceOver)
Zoom & Reflow: Supports 200% zoom and content reflow at 320px viewport width
Skip to Content: Skip links available to bypass repetitive navigation
Color Contrast: All interface elements meet minimum contrast ratios
Labeled Forms: All input fields are properly labeled for assistive technologies
Scope of Conformance
This conformance evaluation applies to the TalentLMS platform across the following:
User roles: Administrator, Instructor, and Learner
Key platform areas: Dashboard, login pages, reports, user settings, navigation
Excluded from this scope:
Course units and learning materials uploaded by users
Third-party content or embedded learning modules
Shared Responsibility for Accessible Content
TalentLMS provides the technical foundation for accessibility, but content creators play a crucial role. To maintain an inclusive learning experience:
Add captions or transcripts to video materials
Use structured headings and descriptive alt text in course content
Avoid color-only indicators and ensure adequate contrast in designs
Use accessible file formats (e.g., tagged PDFs)
While the platform is built to support accessibility, content-level accessibility must be ensured by course authors and administrators.
What Accessibility Means
Accessibility is about making sure everyone can use and benefit from TalentLMS, no matter their ability or circumstances. It means the platform can be used with assistive technologies or alternative ways of interacting—whether someone relies on a screen reader, is temporarily working with one hand, or finds it easier to read with high-contrast settings due to changes in vision. By focusing on accessibility, we aim to create a more inclusive learning experience that supports everyone, removes barriers, and makes training easier to access for all.
Ongoing Commitment
Our accessibility program is ongoing. We conduct regular evaluations and update our conformance report annually or after major UI changes.
Current Report Validity: June 2025 – June 2026
Next Audit Scheduled: Mid 2026 or upon major platform redesign
We encourage feedback from all users and are committed to continuous improvement.
