Now more than ever, we find that people have less time to put into training and much larger quantities of learning content to actually get across.
So with busy schedules and big workloads that we have to compete with, TalentLMS lets us make sure we hold the attention of our trainees without overwhelming them, and are providing them with meaningful training experiences.
SmartyGrants is one of the enterprises within the Our Community Group. We’re actually one of Australia’s most-used grants administration systems.
So we actually have more than 800 funders using SmartyGrants software, policy templates and best practice advice to revolutionize their grant making.
We operate across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and internationally. So it’s really important that our training content is relevant in all contexts and that our tools can expand and scale as we do.
We primarily use TalentLMS in three distinct ways. Number one, to train our customers in how to use SmartyGrants effectively and get the most out of the system. The second way we use TalentLMS is to upskill our employees on the latest SmartyGrants functionality. So staff members will come on board into all different areas of the business, and no matter what their role is, TalentLMS provides them with consistent and convenient access to the latest training material to support them in their onboarding journey. Thirdly, TalentLMS lets us properly measure the impact of our training program with real-time information on learner participation, engagement, training time, and more.
So for the first time ever, we actually know what is working in the program and where we should focus our efforts to improve.

TalentLMS has allowed us to scale our training program rapidly. Our training engagement has increased tenfold over the last year.
We now have over 2,000 registered users, 17,000 assigned courses, and almost 9,000 completed courses. Without the program in place it’s hard to imagine how we would have kept all of our users trained.

One of the functions we really appreciate in TalentLMS is branches. So prior to launching the LMS, we knew that we needed to be able to segment our user journeys, not just in terms of the learning content, but for the entire online training experience. Branches allow us to customize the look and feel of the portal, depending on which user journey the customer is on, as well as tailor a number of technical components including the portal URL, single sign on and gamification badges.
