Isolation can sometimes be a good thing. It can help people reflect and relax. But more often than not, especially after long periods of time, being alone can have a negative effect on our mental health. When people are feeling lonely, they can struggle with feelings of stress and depression. 

People can suffer from loneliness for a variety of reasons. But many people can feel lonely even when they’re not on their own.
