Course overview

Referring to both sexual orientation and gender identity, LGBTQQIP2SAA covers people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, queer, intersex, pansexual, two-spirit (2S), androgynous and asexual. There are many other terms and it is commonly shortened to LGBTQ+.

Unfortunately, this community can face discrimination. Such hostility might take the form of bullying, harassment, and physical violence.

In the workplace, LGBTQ+ employees are also subjected to discrimination. This ranges from “banter” or jokes about their identity to outright intimidation and aggression. Thankfully, there are many ways your employees can support their LGBTQ+ colleagues and improve inclusion.
